The PXIS-2700 is an industrial-grade PXI chassis from ADLINK built for precise mechanical applications. This device requires a 10 MHz reference clock, start trigger, and local bus.The PXIS-2700 provides multiple DC output voltages by including +5 V, +12 V, +3.3 V and -12 V. Each voltage rail offers specific current limits with +5 V by supporting 5.0 A to 40.0 A. This helps in redundant power design enhances uptime by reducing the risk of system failure during continuous industrial usage.
The PXIS-2700 chassis integrates comprehensive system monitoring functions for enhanced reliability. It includes a power LED that indicates the presence of supplied voltage with a green color, and a temperature LED that provides visual feedback on thermal conditions with an amber color. These indicators enable easy system diagnostics and help maintain stable environmental conditions. It supports AC input ranging from 100 to 240 VAC at frequency span from 50 to 60 Hz by delivering flexible and reliable power performance for critical automation systems. The thermal management in the chassis is achieved through a filtered with a forced-air cooling architecture. It integrates 5 hot-swappable 80 mm x 80 mm x 15 mm ball-bearing fans each providing 31 CFM airflow through all slots by safeguarding electronic components from heat-related degradation. The blower fan can be replaced without interrupting system operation by supporting minimal downtime.
There are 18 total slots on the chassis, with 17 peripheral slots accompanied by a single system slot. This configuration supports multiple PXI modules by offering flexibility for various instrumentation applications. It has a mass of about 19 kilograms (41.8 lbs) by providing an efficient mechanical structure suitable for rack-mounted installations. It meets EMI requirements under FCC Class B and CISPR22 Class B regulations by providing effective electromagnetic interference suppression.
