ADLINK PCI-RTV24 Frame Grabber
Because the ADLINK PCI-RTV24 Frame Grabber was created with no compromises for machine vision and video surveillance applications, it is the ideal instrument for PC-based multiple-channel vision applications. This frame grabber for PCI Express® x1 lanes has the ability to simultaneously record four analog video streams in real time. Both popular monochrome (CCIR, EIA) and composite color (PAL, NTSC) video formats are compatible with it. It is possible to program the resolution to be either broadcast or square-pixel (640 x 480 or 768 x 576). Captured images can be resized using selectable ratios before being transferred to the PC's memory. The board also allows for arbitrary cropping to regions of interest and generates bitmaps in common color formats like as RGB, YUV, planar, and packed.
For every channel, the PCI-RTV24 can capture 30 full-frame photos every second. A variety of composite video input formats, such as PAL-B, PAL-D, PAL-G, PAL-H, PAL-I, PAL-M, PAL-N, and SECAM, are supported for color video. Monochrome video acquisition is compatible with both CCIR and EIA (RS-170). In addition to scaling the image down to 1:16, the board enables the acquisition of programmable areas of interest. The scaling options available for acquired images or portions of them include hue (for NTSC signals), contrast (0 to 200%), brightness, and saturation (0 to 200% for U and V signals). Moreover, it has automated control over chrominance gain.
The PCI-RTV24 has protection against electrostatic discharges and overloads installed, and its TTL-compatible I/O lines provide four inputs, four outputs, and four soft trigger lines. Any line can be used to report an alarm, initiate an acquisition, or be configured as an input or output. This board complies with PCI Express® x1 and can operate at a maximum speed of 120 frames per second. It features four parallel color video digitizers and supports both color (PAL/NTSC) and monochrome (CCIR/EIA) cameras. It offers up to 16 channels of extension in addition to integrated TTL I/O lines and a watchdog timer. The software trigger support and the user-friendly ViewCreator program enhance its usage.
The PCI-RTV24 is perfect for use in digital video recorders (DVR), machine vision inspection systems, industrial monitoring systems, PC-based surveillance systems, scientific research instruments, and medical research instruments. It works with programming environments such as C#/.NET, VC++, VB, C++ Builder, Delphi, and LabVIEW® and supports software for Windows® and Linux systems.
