The Chroma ADLINK 52983 I/O module is a PC based platform that integrates programmable sourcing and measurement. The system provides deterministic performance for repeatable validation of LED light bar electrical characteristics in demanding environments. The 52983 module delivers an output voltage range from 1 to 200 V with fixed 50 mV resolution steps. It supplies 10µA to 5mA output current supporting low current LED strings and sensitive array structures. The voltage accuracy is specified as ±0.2% to ±0.3% of full-scale tolerance. Its current compliance accuracy is specified as ±0.2% to ±5% of full-scale tolerance.
The ADLINK 52983 uses a two-wire configuration for measurement that is being optimized for electrical coverage of complete LED light bar assemblies. Its configuration simplifies fixture design for inline verification of conductive paths and individual LED segments on carriers. High resolution sourcing and sensing enable precise IV characterization and detection of leakage open circuits and shorted segments. The relay box of the Chroma ADLINK 52983 I/O programmable module provides 32 general purpose channels for flexible signal routing. Its channels 1 to 24 support up to 200 VDC switching with 300 mA continuous carry current capability, while channels 25 to 32 support up to 300VDC switching with 600mA continuous carry current capability. Its mechanical life expectancy for each relay channel is rated at 100000 operations for reliable production deployment.
The I/O module’s relay box operates from 110V or 220V at 50 to 60Hz with two amperes input rating. Its IPC dimensions are 418 by 330 by 175 mm for compact integration into test benches. Relay box dimensions are 430 x 276 x 102 mm (16.9 x 10.86 x 4 inches) to support organized wiring and reliable installation. The Chroma ADLINK 52983 operates within ambient temperature of 10 to 40°C and 10 to 70% of relative humidity to support deployment on production floors and engineering laboratories with controlled ambient conditions. Its integrated channel control simplifies mapping between test points and DUT pads for automated sequencing across multiple fixtures.
